For the second night in a row, I’ve gotten up @ 4am, gone to the bathroom, got some water, got back in my bed…only to find myself awake, hours later…thinking, planning, plotting, reminiscing, my brain on constant segue hyper drive.
THE DECISION TO START BACK BLOGGING
Didn’t realize how much I missed it until I read some old posts of mine. The young woman that came to Blogger right when she was needing to figure out what and who she wanted to be when she grew up has evolved into a different person than she once was. However, there are some parts of me that have remained true: writing is and will always be my best outlet to get my angst out, to express my $0.02 about love, life, and relationships. SO, I made the conscious effort to take a sabbatical from Facebook and focus primarily on re-launching my blog and getting back the ME I used to know.
SO LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I DID
I was wasting time before falling asleep last night and decided to check on my FB page for “old time sake” and found that since I temporarily deactivated my account, my boyfriend has changed his status from ‘in a relationship’ to ‘single’. I immediately told myself that I was too old to care why he did it, too old to be petty about it and took the stance that I wouldn’t even ask about it…BUT here it is, 5am, and it’s on my mind. Not in the front of my brain with the bills I need to pay, script I need to finish typing or continuing ed that must be done by August for my insurance license renewal, but more to the mid-back of my brain where I file away memories for my happy place (make believe place I go to find solace) , lyrics to my fav all-time songs, and quotes from movies. With all this being said, I will put the laptop down for rest and contemplate if I’ll even ever bring this up or if I’ll just let it fade into the background…
